Head of High School Science

Job Responsibilities

1. Coordinate the curriculum planning of science subjects (physics, chemistry, biology, etc.), formulate teaching syllabuses, and supervise their implementation to ensure compliance with international curriculum certification standards.

2. Regularly observe and evaluate classes, organize teaching and research activities, optimize teaching plans, and improve teaching quality.

3. Be responsible for the recruitment, evaluation, and training of science teachers. Organize teachers to participate in international education seminars or overseas further studies, guide the professional development of young teachers, and cultivate backbone teachers in the subject.

4. Design science experiment courses and extracurricular activities (such as science competitions, scientific research projects) to improve students’ practical abilities.

5. Coordinate communication between schools and parents, regularly feedback students’ academic progress to parents, and participate in enrollment promotion activities.

6. Optimize subject teaching resources (such as experimental equipment, textbooks), and connect with international examination institutions (such as College Board) to ensure examination compliance.

 

Requirements

1. A master’s degree or above is preferred. Majors in physics, chemistry, biology, or science education are required. Candidates with overseas study experience or teaching experience in international courses (such as AP, A – level, IB) are more competitive.

2. Hold a senior high school teaching certificate. Some schools require international teaching qualifications (such as PGCE, QTS).

3. Be familiar with international curriculum systems (such as AP Physics, Chemistry, or Biology courses), be able to teach in English, and have fluent spoken English (some schools require an IELTS score of 7.0 or a TOEFL score of 100 or above).

4. Have interdisciplinary integration skills, be good at experimental teaching and science project design. Candidates with experience in guiding subject competitions are preferred.

5. Have more than 5 years of teaching experience in international schools and more than 2 years of experience as a subject leader or teaching and research management.

6. Have team leadership, innovation awareness, and data analysis ability, and be able to promote curriculum reform and teachers’ professional development.

 

Benefits

1. Salary: Monthly salary ranges from 25,000 to 40,000 RMB. Higher salaries can be negotiated for outstanding talents or those with rich experience.
